Gigabyte u1b uefi bios updating
My main question is as follow :1) How to update my BIOS to UEFI BIOS ?
- Supports Intel new B3 stepping 6 series chipset - Supports the newest LGA1155 2nd Generation Intel Core processors - Ultra Durable 3 technology with 2oz copper PCB design - Supports USB 3.0 with superfast transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps - GIGABYTE 3x USB Power with On/Off Charge USB ports - SLI and Cross Fire X multi-graphics support for ultimate graphics performance - XHD technology accelerating hard drive performance with ease - Supports Dolby Home Theater audio - GIGABYTE Dual BIOS technology delivering highest level failure protection - When updating from legacy to UEFI, use only the utility attached to your BIOS file- Some GIGABYTE utilities are not supported under UEFI BIOS architecture.
Im pretty sure the revision 3 has uefi bios, but what about the revision 1.0, 1.1?
I have never updated Bios just left them stock but I'm building a new pc and everyone says to update to the newist Bios, well newist UEFI.
The Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is a very important software that loads the currently installed OS, and tests all of the system’s hardware components – so make sure you flash it correctly.
Bear in mind that failing to perform a successful installation could seriously damage your device, and the faulty BIOS resulted from the process might even render it unusable.
So, if this release includes useful changes, hit the download button, get the package, and update your BIOS version.
Be prepared to update the UEFI firmware regularly, though...
I thought I’d Just post a quick SEO beacon for people struggling to enable Secure Boot on their Gigabyte motherboards.
They seem to have been a hold out in putting UEFI on their new boards.
